Why Are Mary Kay Cosmetics So Expensive Eg $150 Cdn For A Set Of Eyeshadows, Lipstick And Blush.?

Why dont’ you just go to ebay? I don’t buy the more expensive stuff from consultants. I thought it was common knowledge or atleast the “diehard” mary kay customer’s knew that the consultants paid only half of what they are selling the product to you for.
Do what I did and go to ebay. I got the mary kay time wise kit including shipping and handling for $44. It retails for over $100 on mary kay’s site and through a consultant.

Where did the $150 come from? That’s not even the right price! I have no interest in selling you anything but in US dollars a compact, 3 new mineral eye and 1 cheek color, a set of applicators, and lipstick is $64.50. In Canadian dollars it’s $76.00. Canada uses the metric system where the US doesn’t. So who is feeding you that just the 3 items is $150?
Be advised, Mary Kay Consultants are not allowed to jack the prices up on any of the products.
Someone is ripping you off. If you’re in Canada go to http://www.marykay.ca or if in the US go to http://www.marykay.com to educate yourself on the truth.
By the way, tons of people purchase Estee Lauder, Clinique, and other mall brands and their prices are competitive and sometimes higher than Mary Kay’s. It’s all about preference.

Yes this package should cost around $70 Canadian for everything. Try calling another MK consultant to double check the prices. It’s not the cheapest cosmetics on the market but you get excellent service, huge selection and the makeup lasts a long time (for me at least a year or more).

I dont sell Mary Kay, but I have worn it for the past 5-6 years and it is not bad for your skin. In the past, YEAARSSS ago they had a few problems but have totally re-made their products. They run with all of the other prices—i ran out of bronzer the other day and ran to CVS and THEUR BRONZERS were 12, 13 and 14 dollars! WOW def higher than mary kay! good luck
